Our next webinar is coming up in two weeks!

We are excited to host Joana Pimenta Bernardes from our Competence Center for Genomic Analysis Kiel (CCGA) again, who was a teacher at our summer school last year. This time she will talk about Precision Medicine: Cell-Centric Approaches Transforming Chronic Inflammatory Disease Treatments.

Here is a short introduction in her own words: As a researcher in precision medicine, I study chronic inflammatory diseases to understand why they affect people differently and to develop better treatments. My work focuses on analyzing complex data over time (temporal) and across different parts of the intestinal tract (spatial) to identify patterns in disease progression and response to therapy. By studying how patients respond to treatments over time, I uncover insights that wouldn’t be visible from a single snapshot. Our ultimate goal is to understand disease dynamics to enhance diagnosis and care.
